The Brief
Game Changing Headquarters for Para-Athletes
Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Association exist to engage, empower and develop people with a disability to live a more healthy, active and fulfilled life of their choosing. They create opportunities for all people with disabilities to lead an active healthy life, not just athletes.
COHA Group have partnered with Sporting Wheelies to assist them in planning and delivering their new Para Sport Clubhouse, the first in Australia, which will accommodate a full size Wheelchair Basketball court, Boccia and a Goalball court, allowing multiple sports to be played at the venue including Wheelchair AFL, Tennis and Wheelchair Rugby amongst others. Therapeutic services including Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Neuromoves will be delivered from the new gym and fitness centre and an onsite café will make the Clubhouse a vibrant sports hub where people with a disability can get active, have fun and catch up with friends.
COHA Group have assembled over a dozen consultants and suppliers to provide pro bono services and discounted labour and materials to help deliver this game changing dream for Sporting Wheelies.
