** Practical Completion Achieved | All Hallows’ School Ann Street Redevelopment **

The Project Team is proud to have recently achieved Practical Completion on the recent All Hallows` School Redevelopment - comprising:
- The Scholar Centre – a contemporary learning and student support facility focused on academic excellence and independent learning.
- Callaghan Place - the refurbishment of a standalone three storey Art Deco heritage building into state of the art new general learning areas and staff facilities, and
- Jagera Walk - a high level enclosed student pedestrian bridge connecting Callaghan Place back to the main campus, separating students from traffic at street level, ensuring safety is prioritised for the AHS students.

A project of this complexity is only possible through a collaborative team approach. Thank you to the outstanding consultant and project team including Architects Deicke Richards, whose design created a beautiful learning environment that is distinctively All Hallows’, and the broader consultant team and contractors, Rohrig Constructions, who delivered a great outcome despite the latent challenges surrounding the older heritage building.

For us at COHA, one of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been our ongoing relationship with All Hallows` School. Having worked closely with the School`s leadership team over a number of years, it has been a privilege to act as the School`s representative and advocate throughout the design and construction process.

Congratulations to everyone involved. We are excited to see students and staff enjoy these new facilities for many years to come.

🎉 COHA GROUP - STAFF PROMOTION >> ROY NIEN 🎉

Last September, a Bond University Construction Management graduate, Roy Nien, joined COHA Group for a four-month internship to complete the final stage of his degree.

It didn`t take long for Roy to make an impression.

Following his internship, Roy joined the team as a full time Project Coordinator and quickly demonstrated an ability to learn, problem-solve and thrive when given more responsibility. He immersed himself in the detail, embraced every challenge, and consistently delivered beyond expectations.

COHA Senior Project Manager, Mark Davis sums it up well: "Roy has been a fantastic cultural fit from day one. He brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a great sense of humour to the team, while genuinely enjoying the profession he`s chosen. Combined with his attention to detail and commitment to delivering for his clients, these qualities have earned him the respect of colleagues, consultants and clients alike."

Despite being at the beginning of his career, Roy has consistently performed above his role, making the decision to promote him to Assistant Project Manager an easy one. Congratulations Roy!

As far as Roy is concerned:

** PROJECT MILESTONE - FEDERAL GOVT COMMITS $5.5M TO INDIA HOUSE **

A proud and significant day at Greater Springfield yesterday as the foundation stone was laid for India House - a landmark project that will serve the Indian community and Queensland’s broader multicultural landscape for generations to come.

India House will provide a dedicated place for connection, support, cultural celebration and community services, responding to the needs of one of the fastest‑growing and most diverse communities in the state.

Yesterday’s announcement of $5.5 million in Federal Government funding is a major milestone and a strong signal of confidence in the vision and purpose of this project.

COHA Group is honoured to have been appointed as Project Manager, working alongside the Federation of Indian Communities Queensland (FICQ) to help deliver this important piece of social infrastructure.

Another amazing evening last night where over 1300 people gathered at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the 2026 Clubs Queensland Awards of Excellence event.

Congratulations to all the winners and the club industry more generally for knowing how to celebrate its industry in style.

This year Paul Coory, COHA Group Managing Director, is taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society who do outstanding work supporting many Australians experiencing homelessness.
Like many, Paul watched the wonderful response from our Brisbane community in past years, and decided to sign up - but needs the help of the amazing humans in our network!

Paul will be joining a lot of industry peers on the night, an experience that will be powerful, seeing what we can all achieve when we come together.

But the real reason Paul is doing this is to step outside the rhythm of everyday life and take stock. In a world that doesn’t slow down, it’s easy to become absorbed in our own schedules, pressures, and priorities, which often comes with a loss of awareness of what - and who - is around us.

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and spare a thought for the people we might walk past on the street without really seeing them, and understanding their stories - many stories that were once no different than our own.

To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, Paul needs your support. Paul has set a target of $5,000 - we`re sure with your help he can smash that! By donating as much as you can, you`ll make a huge difference to people who need it most.

Queensland’s Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program has just opened Round 2, with $30 million in funding available for grassroots sporting infrastructure projects. Your club may be eligible.

As Sports Minister Tim Mander MP says, by investing at the grassroots level right across the state, Games On! ensures that every Queenslander, no matter where they live, their background or ability, has the opportunity to be active, get involved and share in the benefits of our vibrant sporting culture.

These Games On! projects are supporting grassroots sporting infrastructure, and includes upgrades to:
- fields and pitches
- courts and clubhouses
- changerooms and lighting, and
- essential community sporting facilities.

The first step is a simple Registration of Interest (ROI) and it closes soon, on Wednesday, 18 March - so don`t dilly dally!

** MILESTONE REACHED - ALL HALLOWS` SCHOOL **

A major milestone reached at All Hallows’ School over the weekend 👏

The first segment of a new pedestrian bridge 🌉 has now been successfully erected, forming a vital link between the School’s property at 501 Ann St, currently undergoing a full refurbishment, and its main campus across Dodge Lane.

This bridge is a key element of the School’s ambitious masterplan, creating new contemporary learning spaces while seamlessly reconnecting it back to the heart of this iconic School campus.

Delivering works like this in a constrained inner‑city environment, and over a weekend to minimize disruption, is no small feat. A huge credit to the Contractors - Rohrig Constructions, the Design team led by Architects - Deicke Richards and the school community for its coordination and collaboration that made this milestone possible.

The final sections of the bridge will be erected next weekend and the final refurbishment program in April / May.

We’re excited to celebrate one of our superstars - Oni Ieong - who earlier this month celebrated her five year anniversary with COHA Group!

It has been a pleasure watching her grow across her five‑year COHA journey, transitioning from an architectural career to starting as a Project Coordinator with COHA in 2021.

Her professionalism and team focus has seen her develop meaningful and strong relationships with Clients, project teams, and within the COHA team. Oni soon progressed to Assistant Project Manager and last year, earned a well deserved promotion to Project Manager!

Her progression reflects her skill and growth mindset, and the strong professional development culture we’re proud to foster at COHA Group.

** Round 2 of the Play On! Sports Vouchers program opened 29 January **

Eligible families can apply for $200 per child (ages 5–17) to put towards membership, registration or participation fees with registered clubs. Each child can receive one voucher per financial year, with a dedicated allocation supporting children living with a disability and those in regional and rural communities.

COHA Group supports initiatives that lift participation in community sport across Queensland. Sport helps children build physical literacy and fitness, improve mental wellbeing, develop teamwork and social connection, and grow resilience and confidence - habits today that will last a lifetime.

The much loved but aged building provided many challenges and to achieve such an amazing result demonstrates what can be delivered when teams collaborate and innovate together.

A great community project for the Moreton Bay region.

COHA Group were proud to have project managed this project for the club and Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games.

🪚 A new roof has replaced their old, leaking one, preventing structural damage.

🚺 Extra female toilets and showers can now cater for the number of women who use the venue, which is 90% of total visitor numbers.

♿ And new external doors and a reconfigured layout has improved accessibility to the bathrooms for older adults and people with disabilities.

🎉 Official Opening of the Mt Gravatt Youth and Recreation Centre Redevelopment 🎉

It was a proud moment to attend the official opening of the Mt Gravatt Youth and Recreation Centre redevelopment this morning, and to celebrate what happens when passionate volunteers and the local community minded `village` come together to deliver meaningful outcomes for the youth and local community.

A huge congratulations to Jane, Narelle, Alan, Michael, and the entire MGYR crew for your tireless dedication and hard work. Your commitment has transformed a vision into a vibrant reality.

This project was made possible through funding from the Queensland Government’s 2020 Election Commitment. It was a pleasure to meet local federal member Kara Cook MP and state member Corrine McMillan MP, whose long-standing advocacy and support for this club and community have been instrumental.
I was also wonderful to share the morning with Esther Revell, Senior Engagement officer with QLD Government`s Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games, whose untiring support for this project was amazing.

This milestone marks the completion of a challenging yet deeply rewarding project. The Centre now stands ready to serve the community across a wide range of sports and activities, offering a dynamic multipurpose space that will generate revenue, support local jobs, and most importantly, bring together the youth of Mt Gravatt and Mansfield in a safe and inclusive environment. COHA Group were proud to have played our part in assisting the club to deliver this important project.

** Celebrating Sport, Community & Inspiration at the All Hallows` Sports Lunch **

COHA Group was proud to co-sponsor the annual All Hallows` School Sports Lunch at the iconic Queensland Cricketers` Club at the Gabba - a fantastic afternoon celebrating the power of sport to unite, inspire and uplift.

We were privileged to hear from two incredible guest speakers:

Ariarne Titmus multiple Olympic gold medalist and world champion swimmer, fresh from announcing her retirement from swimming, she shared amazing insights into her journey from a dedicated young swimmer in Tassie to a world champion Aussie icon. Her story is incredible and inspiring.

We heard from Jaspa Fletcher, rising AFL - Australian Football League star with the Brisbane Lions and now dual premiership player at the age of only 21, who spoke about the importance of team culture within a club, the importance of parents who empower their kids to be self-driven - and how both are linked to success.

The event was a true reflection of All Hallows’ commitment to nurturing excellence in sport and developing the character of the student or athlete.
A huge thank you to All Hallows` School for hosting another memorable, sell-out, event, and to everyone who attended and contributed to its success.

🏆 Congratulations to Woombye Football Club – Grand Final Champions! 🐍⚽

COHA Group is proud to celebrate our client, Woombye Snakes FC, on their incredible achievement in the FQPL 3 Sunshine Coast Grand Final! With a thrilling 4–2 victory over Caloundra, the Snakes have claimed their first senior men’s premiership since 2014, marking a historic moment in their 56-year legacy.

👏 Well done to the Club President David Gaskin and the entire Woombye FC community – players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters – for making five grand final appearances across all divisions.

From battling a flooded home ground to lifting the trophy, the resilience and spirit of the club have been inspiring.

COHA Group proudly project managed and handed over the club`s new change rooms earlier this year through funding made possible through the Queensland Government`s Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund, delivered through the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Queensland Sport and Recreation Recovery Grant is now open and represents a significant opportunity for sporting clubs and local governments effected by the North and Far North Tropical Low between 29 January – 28 February 2025 to bounce back from severe weather events with improved, more resilient facilities.

What makes this grant program exceptional:
