The Whitsunday Sailing Club’s vision to create a centre of learning for all things maritime commenced with engaging COHA Group to work with the Club to develop the brief and strategy to develop the concept. Connected to the existing Licensed Club, it will incorporate accommodation, meeting and conference facilities, with the first stage of the development focussed on Maritime training and education with classrooms, workshops and office administration. An important part of the revitalisation of the Whitsundays region under the Government’s tourism stimulus strategy.
“COHA Group’s detailed understanding of the Sailing Club and our environment has been extremely valuable during the development of our design phases. Their understanding of our business has given the sailing club confidence that COHA Group can work with the rest of the team to deliver to us the right functional outcome for the Whitsunday Sailing Club facilities within tight budget constraints… COHA Group’s knowledge and experience has resulted in what we believe is a more cost effective and operationally successful building which meets the Club’s brief.”
