** COHA PROJECT COMPLETION - BROTHERS RUGBY LEAGUE CLUB, IPSWICH **

Last month, COHA Group awarded Practical Completion to MELROSE Constructions for the refurbishment of the Ipswich Brothers Rugby League Football club`s change room refurbishment, in time for the upcoming footy season!

The project was co-funded between Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich and the then DTS (now Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games) under its Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund. This important funding initiative from the Queensland Government encourages community sport and active recreation participation through the provision of quality, accessible, inclusive, and safe facilities.

The Club`s existing tired Gym space was converted into two additional changerooms, while two existing oversized existing amenities were reconfigured and redesigned into four more functional unisex changeroom and player amenities facilities, with new finishes, joinery, and building services to all spaces, to a standard worthy of a premiership winning rugby league club.

The Club engaged COHA as its independent client side project manager, working with the Club`s architects, BSPN Architecture, who delivered a design that hit the mark, balancing functionality, aesthetics and a tight budget.

A competitive construct only contractor tender was awarded to MELROSE, who were set with a tight program by COHA of having the changerooms ready for the new season, and they achieved this target PC date on the money!

We are thrilled that this great rugby league club now have the quality facilities it deserves, and we wish them well for the season ahead!

** COHA PROJECT COMPLETION - GREENBANK SERVICES CLUB **

Earlier this month, COHA Group awarded Practical Completion to Paynters on the spectacular $19M redevelopment of the Greenbank Services Club, in one of Queensland`s most impressive club refurbishment projects.

We are proud to be entering into our 5th year of our relationship with Tim Wright and the team at Greenbank, and are proud to have delivered end-to-end client side project management services throughout the life of this amazing project.

The Club engaged COHA to facilitate an architectural competition for the project, which Altis Architecture won, and we worked hand in glove with Tim and the team throughout Concept design, design development, tendering, contractor procurement and tendering, and as Superintendent throughout the construction phase.
COHA managed an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contractor procurement methodology leading to a Design and Construct contract. The key pillars of our approach was to protect design quality while transferring risk away from the Club.

The results speak for themselves ..... and when we say the project was delivered on time and on budget - we actually mean it !

The procurement methodology we employed provided the foundation for strong risk management, where the project`s success was underpinned by a project team who bought into this methodology, helping to deliver a great result for the Club.

Altis Architecture produced a wonderfully crafted design which has been the talking point of the industry. Paynters delivered the design to a very high standard, working respectfully and collaboratively with COHA, the design team and Club throughout the project.

A thoroughly enjoyable project to be involved in - congratulations to all involved - and to name only a few >>> Tim Wright, Renee Lilii (CA), Grant Meredyth, Gary Biddlecombe, Daniel Muntz, Angel Crispin, Danielle Curley, Shiva Tabrizi, Paul Coory, Oni Ieong, and more ....

The team at COHA Group are thrilled to welcome back Oni Ieong, who has re-joined the COHA team after 10 months maternity leave, where she ushered her second child into the world. Oni has been an integral part of our team for almost four years and we are thrilled to have her back.

Oni`s dedication, expertise and ability to get the best out of herself and consultant teams have made her a favourite with clients and project teams generally. We will continue to support her in her professional journey and her more important journey as a mother of two.

Oni’s smooth transition back to work is further supported by her husband, who was able to take parental leave. We are proud to be in a country that supports parental leave for both working parents, which plays such an important part in primary carers transition smoothly back into work, which helps promote shared parenting responsibilities, gender equality, a healthier work-life balance and a more inclusive workplace.

Welcome back, Oni and we look forward to seeing her do great things.🎉
