** COHA Announcement - Tasmania Devils Calls Kingston Home **
The Tasmanian Government has announced today that the construction of the AFL High-Performance Centre and Training Facility, the home of the Tasmania Devils Football Club, will be at Kingston, part of the new Kingborough Sports Precinct.
COHA Group were part of a team who undertook a substantial and thorough due diligence across multiple sites on behalf of the Tasmanian Government, the Club and AFL to help inform the site selection process, ensuring the optimum site chosen would best serve the operational needs of the club and best aligned with the project budget and program.

This site provides accessibility for athletes and the public while complementing the vision for a state-of-the-art training and administrative hub for the Devils.

** COHA PROJECT UPDATE >> THE BARREL ROOM @ GREENBANK **
Looking for a pre-Christmas drink or bite to eat in luxurious and bespoke surrounds .... the newly completed Barrel Room at the Greenbank Services Club is the place to go. The enticing shiny copper Brite tanks glow like a beacon outside the Club in a window display that is hard to resist.
The new $20m club redevelopment is already shaping up to be a game changer as Stage 2 is about to be fully handed over this month.
The Barrel Room, with its craft beers on tap, warm timber detailing, cozy lounges, polished concrete floors and expansive glass facade allows it to reach outwards during the day and transition into a cozy internalized space at night.
There will be so much to see at Greenbank between now and Practical Completion in March 2025 ... and the Barrel Room is one not to be missed!

** COHA PROJECT COMPLETION I MORETON BAY BOAT CLUB **
COHA Group were thrilled to attend the official opening of the newly refurbished Moreton Bay Boat Club on Saturday! The house was buzzing with excitement, the drinks flowing and the patrons singing the praises of the Board and club management for their successful reinvestment and reinvigoration of their beloved club.
Only a few short months ago, the Club approached COHA Group to project manage the delivery of its renovations by November, with not many months left in the year! The task - complete the project before Melbourne Cup or defer to next year. Challenge accepted!
We quickly set a project delivery strategy in motion, enabling Farrago Constructions to mobilize swiftly. With a target practical completion date in late October, we assisted the club with OLGR applications and approvals, working closely with the consultant team and contractor to ensure everything was ready by Melbourne Cup morning.
A full reconstruction of their front bar, back of house and relocation of the gaming lounge was no small feat, but a collaborative attitude between contractor, club, design team and the COHA project management team, ensured the club were trading at full capacity in the lead up to Christmas.
A big thank you to Bill, Liz, and the Board of Moreton Bay Boat Club for trusting COHA Group with this project and for their kind words at the opening.
When you`re on the peninsula, pop into Moreton Bay Boat Club for great food, magnificent service and renowned Moreton Bay hospitality.

** COHA PRACTICAL COMPLETION - ALL HALLOWS` SCHOOL **
COHA Group are pleased to have issued Practical Completion earlier this week to Landscape Solutions for the St Gertrudes Precinct revitalization project, at the wonderful All Hallows` School.
The life of an All Hallows’ student is multi-dimensional where the wellbeing of its students are a priority through encouraging healthy and positive relationships, connections and resilience. The school boasts uniquely beautiful grounds, historic buildings and green spaces, which are a premium for an inner city based campus.
At the northern end of the school campus, sits St Gertrude`s Lawn, up until recently, an underutilized external space that once played an important role in the early days of the School, serving as a gathering place for students, fostering a sense of community, where students and staff enjoyed moments of reflection, study, and camaraderie.
COHA Group has been engaged by the school as client-side Project Managers and Superintendent to assist the design and construction team deliver this beautiful external space.
Congratulations to the team at Landscape Solutions and Solutions + Co for delivering this project, based on a wonderful vision by the School, beautifully and thoughtfully executed by Place Design Group.
Students will soon return to `St Gerties` to once again learn, play, contemplate and reflect in these beautiful surrounds and we can`t wait to see them use this space as their own.

Earlier this week, some of the COHA Group team had the opportunity to tour the ongoing renovations at Greenbank Services Club, a project that promises to transform the club into the premier hospitality and entertainment venue in Clubland. We witnessed firsthand the amazing progress that is being made.
This Club redevelopment is more than just a facelift; it’s a dramatic repositioning of an already leading club, taking it to a new level of experiential design.
Stage 2 works are scheduled for completion in late October .... with full completion in March 2025. It won`t be long until names such as Barrel Room, Market Place, the Glass House and so on will be synonymous with Greenbank ... and synonymous with the best in club dining, F+B and entertainment experiences.
As we approach the final stages of this ambitious project, we are filled with anticipation for what’s to come.

The team at COHA Group are thrilled to welcome back Oni Ieong, who has re-joined the COHA team after 10 months maternity leave, where she ushered her second child into the world. Oni has been an integral part of our team for almost four years and we are thrilled to have her back.
Oni`s dedication, expertise and ability to get the best out of herself and consultant teams have made her a favourite with clients and project teams generally. We will continue to support her in her professional journey and her more important journey as a mother of two.
Oni’s smooth transition back to work is further supported by her husband, who was able to take parental leave. We are proud to be in a country that supports parental leave for both working parents, which plays such an important part in primary carers transition smoothly back into work, which helps promote shared parenting responsibilities, gender equality, a healthier work-life balance and a more inclusive workplace.

** COHA PROJECT COMPLETION - URBAN CLIMB ADELAIDE **
Last weekend COHA Group attended the official opening of Urban Climb Pty Ltd`s first indoor bouldering facility in Adelaide, located in the heart of the city`s CBD.
Featuring 5 unique bouldering walls, a café, lots of "chill spaces", amenities and some of the coolest and most challenging climbs in Australia, this facility opened its doors to hoards of new foundation members and bouldering fanatics. With music pumping, chalk dust in the air and amazing athletes hanging by their fingertips while defying gravity, Urban Climb`s new offering will be a huge hit for the local community.

** COHA PROJECT COMPLETION - KURRAWA SURF CLUB **
With the 2024 International Lifesaving World Championships scheduled for late August, the Kurrawa Surf Club turned to the team at COHA Group to project manage the design and construction of their latest club expansion - all within a tight and immovable deadline.
Leading an engaged design consultant team, we got to work structuring the program to ensure we procured a contractor capable of delivering in a live environment in a short space of time, before this global surf life saving event, bringing the world`s premier surf lifesavers, arrived at the doorstep of the Kurrawa Surf Club. Choosing the right team was critical.
Following a competitive design and construct tender, GorisCo Projects were chosen as the head contractors. They hit the ground running from day one and maintained their momentum until practical completion in late July, finishing ahead of schedule and under budget.
The project was a success on all fronts, including the final outcome. The club is thrilled with their new outdoor dining terrace, offering the best views on the coast, and the expanded café kitchen, now one of the most popular beachside cafés in Queensland.
Kurrawa understands the value of independent project management, and we recognize the importance of engaging the right project team to achieve outstanding results. Having a great, collaborative client helps as well!
A great outcome all around!

COHA Group is delighted to announce the completion of a remarkable redevelopment at the magnificent Easts Leagues Club. This project is the latest in a series of successful transformations of QLD’s leading clubs, many of which COHA Group have had the honour in helping deliver.
The enhanced offering at Easts included a refresh of the Lobby and entry experience, state of the art Sports Lounge including the now very popular "Cross Bar". The food offering has never been better with the new Oliva Restaurant, Lucky Yu, the Brasserie and Lounge Bar. Gaming patrons have been treated to a very cool exclusive VIP Gaming Entry and the kids haven`t been forgotten, with a fun secure play area adjacent to expanded dining.
COHA Group were engaged as the Club`s independent Project Manager, to oversee the design development, contractor procurement and construction administration, with the Team working closely with Easts` General Manager extraordinaire, Jan Broodryk.
Jan made reference to COHA`s abilities to manage risk and program by noting: "... (their) attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities were particularly impressive, identifying and addressing potential project risks proactively, continuously providing advice and possible resolutions....".
It was a pleasure partnering with Jan whose clear vision for this project made our job easier in delivering the outcomes he envisioned very early on. Congratulations to design partners, Clui Design and Cayas + Ward, and the broader consultant team on being a part of this fantastic outcome.

An amazing 500 - strong crowd turned out yesterday to attend the Women in Sport Summit, professionally presented by the Ministry Of Sport - at The Star on the Gold Coast.
We heard from real change makers in women`s sport discuss several fascinating topics ...
The rise of the Athlete Influencer, where female athletes are finding genuine revenue streams through social media activation to help fund their sporting dreams...
How digital content is now for the first time being consumed in greater numbers than television, and how revenue will go where the eyes go....
The Commercialisation of Women`s Sport and the implications on research, investment and sports technology opportunities...
We learned about game day activation and why over 40% of women don`t participate in watching live sport ....
Equitable training facilities, and how it is now the norm to provide access to equal facilities for women and men`s programs in elite sport (a subject close to the heart of COHA Group)....
We heard a lot about the struggle most athletes experience in raising funding to represent their countries, but with commercial opportunities increasing allowing athletes to be more entrepreneurial, the rise and rise of the women`s sport in general, and the wonderful work organisations like the Minerva Network, the Aussie Athlete Fund, The WattleNest and others do, the future for women in sport is brighter than ever before ... but there is more work to be done.
Congratulations the Ministry of Sport for a wonderfully insightful event.

** COHA PROJECT UPDATE **
Carbrook Golf Club located in Carbrook within Logan City Council is a members-owned golfing facility. Spanning 92 hectares of freehold land, the club features an 18-hole Championship Golf Course, a clubhouse facility, a maintenance facility with several sheds, and other areas that support its golfing operations.
Over the years, the club has faced significant challenges due to flooding events. In 2013, 2017, and twice in 2022, the nearby Logan and Albert Rivers flooded, causing substantial damage to the club`s property. To mitigate the risk of future flood events and enhance the site`s resilience, the Club secured a funding grant from the Queensland Government`s Department of Tourism and Sport (DTS), CRARRP program.
The Club engaged COHA Group to project manage the delivery of these remedial works, for various projects across the site, focusing on remediation and future flood protection.
Golf Spectrum Pty Ltd were the contractors awarded the tender and over the past few months have been hard at work undertaking course recovery works, designed by Stantec, including new cart paths across all 18 tees, stabilising the riverbanks to prevent further erosion and deterioration of the course. Works are set to conclude this September.
By implementing these projects, Carbrook Golf Club will enhance its infrastructure, improve its resilience to flooding, and ensure a better experience for its members and visitors. The funding provided by the Queensland Government`s DTS will play a crucial role in protecting the Club`s assets and maintaining its status as a premier golfing facility in the region.
COHA are thrilled to work alongside this great club and GM, Scott Wagstaff and to once again play a small part in enhancing the sports landscape in QLD.
