** COHA Announcement - Tasmania Devils Calls Kingston Home **

The Tasmanian Government has announced today that the construction of the AFL High-Performance Centre and Training Facility, the home of the Tasmania Devils Football Club, will be at Kingston, part of the new Kingborough Sports Precinct.

COHA Group were part of a team who undertook a substantial and thorough due diligence across multiple sites on behalf of the Tasmanian Government, the Club and AFL to help inform the site selection process, ensuring the optimum site chosen would best serve the operational needs of the club and best aligned with the project budget and program.

The Kingborough Sports Precinct offers an optimal location with established infrastructure, room for future expansion, and access to the Hobart CBD and nearby communities. This site provides accessibility for athletes and the public while complementing the vision for a state-of-the-art training and administrative hub for the Devils.

We are equally thrilled to be able to announce the star-studded consultant team who will join COHA Group in delivering this important and exciting sports infrastructure facility.

The team at COHA Group are thrilled to welcome back Oni Ieong, who has re-joined the COHA team after 10 months maternity leave, where she ushered her second child into the world. Oni has been an integral part of our team for almost four years and we are thrilled to have her back.

Oni`s dedication, expertise and ability to get the best out of herself and consultant teams have made her a favourite with clients and project teams generally. We will continue to support her in her professional journey and her more important journey as a mother of two.

Oni’s smooth transition back to work is further supported by her husband, who was able to take parental leave. We are proud to be in a country that supports parental leave for both working parents, which plays such an important part in primary carers transition smoothly back into work, which helps promote shared parenting responsibilities, gender equality, a healthier work-life balance and a more inclusive workplace.

Welcome back, Oni and we look forward to seeing her do great things.🎉

** Empowering Women in Sports: The Play Our Way Program **

Exciting news for all sports enthusiasts and champions of gender equality! 🌟

The Australian Government has launched the Play Our Way program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to tackle the participation barriers faced by women and girls in sports and physical activity.

With a generous funding of $200 million, the program is set to run over three years, from 2024–25 to 2026–27. This initiative is not just about funding; it’s about creating local solutions that foster safe, inclusive, and sustainable sporting environments.

Local governments, community organizations, not-for-profits, and sporting organizations are encouraged to apply for grants that will help provide quality facilities, equipment, and initiatives. It’s time to level the playing field and ensure that women and girls have more equal opportunities to engage in sports for life.

Applications for the grant opportunity are open until 2 pm on 29 April 2024 (AEST). Don’t miss the chance to be a part of this transformative journey. Let’s play our way to a more inclusive and active future!

🐾 Meet Oscar, the Pawsitively Perfect Team Member at COHA Group! 🐾

We’re thrilled to introduce the furriest member of our team, Oscar, COHA Group’s newest ‘Pawject Manager’!

With every wag of his tail, Oscar spreads cheer and motivation, helping us all to stay fur-cused (sorry about that!) on our goals. 🐶✨

His canine intuition and cuddly demeanor have unleashed a wave of positivity throughout the office. Whenever the workload gets ruff, Oscar is there reminding us to paws and take a breather.

So, let’s give it up for Oscar, who’s proving that sometimes the best things in life are furry. 🐕‍🦺👏
